I've found samples on **** I've found on tapes that were tossed out the car and I found them on the street. Samples a collection of sounds, and I've found better **** for free than the **** I paid for.

Basically you're a sampling bum? Why is "free" or money a part of your response? Is it because you're trying to justify being cheap. If so that's pretty f*ckin' lame.

You can't find all those samples everybody's got(which is probably what you're doing). I like being original, and I have found some Mobb Deep soundin' joints online and in the craziest places(I work at a library)

Finding samples that were used by Mobb Deep (or that sound similar) is being "original"???????????????? STEP. DA. F*CK. BACK.

I'd say for folks that want to experiment with sounds work at a library, hell, volunteer and you'll get to know folks who are working with Audiophilia, those mofos are on another plane altogether, LOl

I've found my samples all over the place, from a mofo playing their rendition of something on Youtube to tidbits on SOHH.............

Trust me, no respected artists out there sample off Youtube. Besides, the ones that won't go anywhere are those who depend on others to post records online. Therefore any record which has never been posted on the internet( and there are millions out there) is inaccessible to you.

J-Dilla didn't always come up witha hot beat, but that's up for discussion.

You've just proven yourself to be a b*tch. Regardless of the fact that you think he may or may not have bad beats and that you're referencing him in such a discussion makes you look like an insignificant parasite who doesn't know or respect the culture and art of crate digging.

I still insist on sampling them from Fobedafied once he's posted them on his myspace account . I like to keep it real original like that.

if someone buys some rare vinly and records the song via a good interface into a good soundcard and encodes the file a a decent resolution the character of the vinyl sound will be retained to ill still get that from what im sampling from the web.

if it aint a percise repilica it dont matter as long as it sounds good most peeps wont know the difference i can tell the diff in many a/b comps

I get what you're saying. My point was simply that if you're just picking up any records without doing your research or properly listening to what you're buying than you're wasting your cash and your time. Obviously there isn't ONE way to dig. To each his own. What really matters and makes the difference at the end of the day is that you come back home with some dope records.

i need one of those lol! do u buy most from actual record stores (i find these are expensive) or do u go to markets and and second hand stores etc? alot of teh records im finding are like 6 dollars and up....this gets expensive!

if a store's got mostly 6 dollar records, i usually don't stay for long. 4 dollar records are my limit kinda. there's stores with big dollar bin sections too. this one i go to has a huge jazz section, all a dollar. and yeah, try the salvation army (usually cheesy old people shtt) or garage sales always seem to have a nice collection sitting there..

the price depends... my girl works for the post office as a carrier but sometimes they have her driving around checkin other routes and she'll come across a garage sell and rack up 4 me BIG Time...like the last sell she copped between 50 to 70 records two wooden crates and john coltranes biog for 50 bucks...crazy right!

if i hit a point when writers block occurs and this is expensive but ill buy a record posted on the wall for 10 to 20 bucks. it was a last alternative one day and i was like **** it why not, so i did it and i was able to flip three joints outta the record. again this is only once in a while.

last night i went and copped this joint that ended up being on the Donuts album for 16 bucks , after the shock, saddness, and salted nuts i did make a couple 8 bar loops for quick intermission style beats. ecept for that dilla joint. i left that one alone...

wanna tell us the record and the joint dilla made with it
