ive been in the lab for extended periods of just listening ... amazing what you hear
when you take time to listen ... recording styles .. instruments .. .. touching lyrics ..
these records opend up my mind fa reals ... :D

seriously. as producers, we can learn so so much by studying the recordings that move us. Takes focus and patience, but it's the right thing to do for sure.

been listening for years,that's a lost art these dayz,that why radio music is garbage they just listen to each other!

man .. imma try some of these older techniques im hearing ..
like hard panning the lead vocalist hard left or right .. and panning the background vocals .. or overdubs center left or more left or right or what have you) .. kinda like an old dell's record ..
some of the panning and effects techniques are intrigueing to say the least ..
you can hear hard compression on the drum kit .. lik they had maybe 1 compressor and just compresed the hell out of it .. but kept it punchy and clean ...

man its incredible the amount of knowledge is here .. 8)

.. and lamp imma bout to shoot that to you yo .. in small doses as prescribed .. lol :D
