I tried finding some Malo and Karma, but never heard of Coke. I will def check them out. I like the whole Femi Kuti type stuff too.

LOL. Hahahahaha. And for whoever recommended Malo... def some really cool jams. Copped a South African pressing of one of their albums and it is very percussive and layered heavy with percussive instruments. Very cool stuff.

Pete Escovedo is Sheila E's father. The brother of Coke. He had a club out in Berkeley called Mr. E's. It now the Shattuck Downlow for Bay heads. I got to meet him just before he sold it.
