Any digging spots in Puerto Rico?

What's up fellas. So I was peeping flights from Jfk to Puerto Rico and shit is CHEAP !!! I'm a out to cop a ticket and have myself a digging vacation. But, before I head out, I just wanted to do a little research. Any body know of any digging spots in the capita San Juan? I've samples puerto rican music before and it's ill, so that's what I'm looking for. Just wanna know if it's easy to find records over there. Thanks guys!

Alot of the diggin' spots in SJ got closed down because diggin' is not that popular here. But I go to Plaza Las Americas in Hato Rey, which is close to SJ, and on the 3rd floor across from JC Penney, there's an antique shop. There they got records, common to rare and from 1buck to 50 dollars. Check the records good though, I saw the Challengers LP there for $40 but the vinyl looked like a cat had disco fever on that.

Damn, sounds like I'll have to do some major hunting. You think there's just random ass places downtown? Like dudes selling shit on the corners and shit? Lemme know. Thanks for all your help! Man, all those records have to be living somewhere in Puerto Rico!!!

Its dry out here for records. And the music shops that are still around only carry latest genre music. If you speak good spanish, there are flea markets that sell records in the deep side of town, but I advise you to be alert. Foreigners are not too difficult to spot out here and get jacked up.

In Rio Piedras, look for the University of Puerto Rico there. Don't worry any taxi driver or bus driver knows where its at. Theres an area of small shops that sell books for students. Look around there, I bought a few records from those book shops. Its a huge area so expect to spend the day there.

Then in Rio Grande, on road 3(formely known as Infranteria 65) theres a flea market but only opens on Saturday. If driving to this place from SJ and you get to the Rain Forest then you've passed it. Ask the bus driver.

Possibly there are record shops, but everything is about money not too much about collecting. Even all the comic shops closed down. Thats why I dig online.

i went to visit my parents last summer and i didn't find jack sh*t and i went to mad flea markets

Lately I've been hittin' up ssnedden for records because my ultimate spot is now a leather handbag shop which was in Old San Juan on San Sebastian Street. Believe me it sucks to be a digger in PR.

Damn man, good thing I didn't buy that round trip ticket. Sounds like I can find more Puerto Rican joints here in NYC. Damn... Anyone know of any good latin countries to dig in?

Mostly all those puerto rican bands made their albums in New York, thats why its called nuyorican music or better known as Salsa Duro and the golden age ,as with all music, was during the 60's and 70's.
