Or even better, coming across the Ray Charles joint that you wanted only to find out the record in the sleeve was the wrong record.

Funny that you talk about Ray Charles cause I found a Bill Cosby sleeve (Badfoot Brown & the Bunions Bradford Funeral & Marching Band) but it had a Ray Charles record in it.
I also found the Curtis Mayfield "Roots" sleeve without a record.

But on the other hand, I found Chic "Good Times" 12" single sleeve with a James Last "Well kept secret" record (you find JL records all over germany in every thrift store and every crate on flea market but the "well kept secret" is kind of rare here)

Thanx seller for not looking inside your records, I got the refund but I'm left with a wack ass record I can't use, with a sleeve for a record I still want...! hahahahaha.

as far as digging "deeper" fam.. i dig deep, believe me. what's your definition of "deep".

Badfoot Brown & the Bunions Bradford Funeral & Marching Band? What a tease. Didn't the Tribe use one joint off of that album? I would've been livid.

4 years ago in Berlin in a market place i founded a cover of a Parliament record (the clones doctor funkenstein, usa pressing) with a Buddy Miles record inside (centennial gathering of the tribes, usa pressing) that is non bad at all!
i discover the record only at home (the 2 casablanca labels are identical and i didn't read the title) and i was a little bit disappointed but the Buddy Miles record is cool too
next day i've found a copy of 1st USA pressing of Parliament Dr. Funkenstein in great conditions at the old hhv store in Grünberger Straße

yeah thas been going around for a few years now,
i hated that sh!t,dont know why someone would do that, but there was cats on here who did and deffened the action CHUMPS if you ask me.

sometimes you just have to dig really hard to find the record cause it does fall out during the movment from donation to the record racks sometimes the person stocking the records just slides it in another sleeve.

anyone who steals a record should have there hands cut off!!!!

i actually hate it more when I find that record ive been looking for for ages and the sleeve looks mint and the record itself looks like a shit stain

man, i thought i found my kraftwerk record the other day because I saw some yellow sticking out of my shelf slightly... total decoy!!! it turned out to be bimbo jet... #&$^$%#!!! **** shit record, and I was in the mood to listen to kraftwerk too.

this happens all the time especially at goodwills and thriftstores and shit. found james brown black seaser w no record lol that one made me salty but there was a dope ass soul record cant remember the name but i ended up makin a beat out of it. i also found that james brown one where hes chillin on the stone ledge..i think its just instrumentals w him on organ but neway i was a little mad about that one too.

Yeah thats Sho Is Funky Down Here, James really doesn't do anything on that album but his trademark shouting. Its an instrumental album of soul and psych, I think it was an introductory to his new band at the time.

Sometimes records can be over priced, but if the seller has some rare sh!t mixed with the common dollar records, then yeah I'm gonna have to play dirty and make some switches, thats just how the game is. Survival of the fittest. Would you pay $60 dollars for one record? No, when you can get 15 records for that price.

Somedays I just don't have the money, so I end up diggin' and switch the records around so when I do have some dough, I just go back and they'll still be there because like you guys, no one likes "wrong records in the sleeve". So, if you find a Country Joe inside an Aretha Franklyn, then just look for Country Joe and you'll find Aretha. As for me, for one record I'll switch 3 to 4 records...Happy trails

Selfish some would say, but come to PR and find one record store, its practically Mad Max down here for a digger. Most likely the record you put away to buy at a later time will never be seen again, might as well grab it while its hot.
