Technic SL 1200 MK5 question

Just got a 1200. Checked it out and realized it does not come with a needle. I am using it to sample into my mpc. Whats a good needle to get?

Well, I typed in needle nothing. Turntable needle nothing and sampling needle nothing. Any keywords?

did you read how to use the search engine?

search for needle + sampling and you get these on the first page:

I found it. I didnt know you had to type in a + to search. One more thing I couldnt find the answer to is I just got a shure whitelabel and I was curious if I went in reverse on the record to replay something if it would damage the needle. Also, lifting up the needle and placing it on different parts of the record damage it?

My personal favourite. Durable, versatile, cheap... ideal

most needle's are fairly hard-wearing. ones meant for scratching are the toughest and will handle that better, more to do with the shape of the stylus tip than what they're made from

you're more likely to hurt the vinyl than the record.

So, this this says it for mixing and scratching, I take it wont be a problem. Its the shure whitelabel ( its the cartridge and needle in one). And , what did you mean Im more likely to hurt the vinyl than the record? Did you mean the needle?
