Moldy old covers/jackets

Got any tips for dealing with moldy covers, jackets and sleeves? I am really sensitive/allergic to paper dust and mold, and I can only dig in my crate and spin a few vinyls before I need to stop. Any tips for cleaning the covers?

I'm wondering if wiping the covers and sleeves with a damp cloth would help, or vacuuming everything to remove dust and particles?

i don't know how it will do getting rid of it but a dehumidifier will definatly help prevent more

Maybe I'll just get some new sleeves and covers and stick the originals in the basement.

i don't think you can treat your record cover (or inner sleeve, or even the record) with any chemical product because it surely will ruins it
i've placed my records in plastic bags
but this will not avoid records from collecting dust
plastic do attract dust because of the static charges ( https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... lectricity )
dusts and molds are great problems for records
i recommend you to wear gloves and a filter mask when you are digging in of old record crates...

this could work till the new covers are dust free but, depends on where you're living, new covers fastly will start to collect dust even if you use bags
