Over the past few weeks, I've been digging for new inspiration. I think I've found something in 1960's Bossa Nova records. The melodies are no joke!!! :-D

if you're talking about sergio mendes records, those are dollar bin commons that have been sampled a million times... but i don't mean to take the fun out of anything...

I ve always found sergio mendes really boring and watered down compared to the real deal (but there is this one dude who played guitar for him and wrote his most famous song, named Jorge Ben that should be searched out). Jao gilberto and tom jobim are the real deal. and have very great chord voiceings also. but thats pretty obvious. I stay away from records with gringos, especially on the drums. lol. but its hard to find good and cheap brasil records in the usa in stores. Ive had better luck in garage sales and the like.

Here's a real gold digger!

People think its just traditional foreign tunes at those sections, but there's funk, psych, blues and jazz and reissued gems that were once rare LPs.

World sections aint no joke!
