Gangstarr Mass Apeal

Anyone know of a old school break that has that same beat ?
I assume the beat is a variant of a 50/60/70's break and would like to study it and learn to play it.
If any one knows of any early examples of it please point me in the right direction.

Soundwise you should try the Linn LM2 sounds.
The pattern of "Mass Appeal" leaves out the kick on the one.

The Ganstar version is a bit too busy to hear what the drums are doing so the Epmd version helped a lot.
Seems to be a few more ghost note kicks in the the Ganstar one too, but yeah I get the basic pattern now.

Pretty hard to play it live man, I better get practicing on that one : )
