I mess with them for one reason only, there is this spanish song that I been looking for now for about a minute(maybe 20 or so years). Awhile back, I'm talking well over 15-20 years a friend of mine was at his house playing around making this beat and he busted out with this song that sounded like is was a circus song then BAM this hot beat started playing.
It was on some breakbeat album that he had blackened out the label(thats what people used to do back in the day when they didn't want you to find the same record as them). I went out and bought like every break beat record I could find ofcourse then there wasn't really that many out except for "Ultimate breaks and beats" series.
Who knows maybe it wasn't even a breakbeat album and he just told me it was. Since then I've probably bought just about every breakbeat album there is.
Now there aint nothing wrong with buying breakbeats, hey some people don't got money like that to be spending $15 - $20 on 1 album with maybe 2 hot songs on it at best so they are the next best thing.
The messed up thing about Dusty Fingers that alot of diggers are complaining about and I too kind of agree with them on is that Dusty Fingers actually tells you who used this sample in what song. To me and alot of other people that defeats the whole purpose of digging.
To this day I have not found that record, I heard it once on UGHH.com when they had there little breakbeats section but, there it was listed as "Artist unknown" which of course was BS they just didn't want you to go out looking for this joint.
