well. I actually think maybe you should try it opposite.
Usually what i do is i have a kick that blends well with my main bass. I layer the bass and kick.
Make your bass lines simple.....and on the main beats, layer it with a kick. (you dont have to layer every kick, or every bass note)
but this is how most hiphop beats are........if your bass needs extra umpha, then layer it with a sine(but not the kick)
Essentially it sound like your are putting TWO basslines in there....and i think thats the problem.....try finding an 808 kick to use instead of the sine, all sine will do is muddy shit up, unless the rest is eq'd right
BASICALLY i dont think your kicks should need a sine wav....they should be bass put punchy moreso on the bottom-middle end. and then your bass underneath.....or your bass on top and kick underneath-this is all eq, or finding the right samples.
If you layer a kick and sine wave, i think you might need to skip the bassline altogether.....or delete the hits that fall on the kick and sine.
or you can make the duration of the sine wav longer and leave a bass sound out all together.
or you can eq the bass a shit load and lay it over top.
