anything, wether it be a polka album,sitar,soul, 60's rock, ANYTHING that sounds good, if the record looks interesting i buy it

yo i make soulful beats n shit like all happy and shit. what type of records should i loook for? i aintt gonna get much soul reords n shit round here.
and what shit should i stay the **** away from. for example. electronic 80s pop shit.
and where should i go to get records. im from uk. peace

about buying records in your area i dont know about ,
but you can just flip any style of music you just got to phuk with it like messing with the pitch timestreghting it flip sht, experiment with stuff, your drum pattern to would change the feel of your mood i think, your drums hiahts.

I sample a lot of old disco just for percussion loops, plus anything that might have acapella vocals. That could include gospel, folk, easy listening, whatever. I don't tend to sample musical phrases though. I use synths for that or get other musicians to play for me.

I also think it depends on what kind of music you are making.
(i.e. If you make hip-hop beats, you can't really sample from electronic 80's pop because it won't sound like hip-hop. It will sound like a whole new genre).

UNLESS YOUR TRYING TO CREATE A NEW GENRE THAN THATS OK! 8)

why sample from anything, ya sample might be 0.5 secs long and effected to the max, dont really matter where its from does it :?:
