I found a goldmine today. An old Church Attic thrift shop. got some weird, wild stuff. An album full of nothing but bird chirps and another of birds talking. An instructional album for learning how to be a court stenographer, lots of cool voice stuff. Double LP "Twin Trumpets", nothing but trumpet licks and some upright bass. Plus various motown and other odds and ends. All for 25 cents a piece. And the place is dying to get rid of all their records so I now have a deal with them...$5 per crate or 5 crates for $20. Brought home two today, can't wait to start sifting through all this stuff. :)

Care to share the location I'm on Long Island. I scored BIG the other day I was driving and I saw a few guys cleaning out a house. I stopped and asked if there were any records being thrown out. SCORE they let me dig through and take what I wanted . I found all sorts of early 70's jazz and funk about 60 records in all. It's a shame , I went back and they just tossed the rest of it in the dumpster and threw all sorts of shit on top of it. Oh well at least I saved the cream of the crop. Among the stuff I scored was a bunch of Herbie Hancock ,Billy Cobham,Gil-Scott,Stanley Clark,Tubular Bells,Mandrill,Becker bros.Herbie Mann,Bob James, And a whole bunch of other stuff I never heard of . My second best score this year. My first was 2000 records for $100. A DJ collection from the early 70's. Lots of RARE stuff in that batch.
