Manager - OK But ITS MY LAST COPY !! (OH Well).......

Digger - Buys it and Leaves........... WHY !!!!!

Manager - Goes 2 the back n Dusts of the other 14 copies and Puts Prices
on them $20 ... NOT they'll Be $25 Dollars and Of Course Puts a 5cent plastic sleeve on them all....................

That was a good read 4000.Alot of times you think someone is just bein' friendly or whatnot and they could be tryin' to snake you.Sometimes i talk to cats like that but now you got me thinkin'............

No doubt...

I only tell a total of 5 people what i get from the record store/thrift shop. Half the people i do know dont even know i shop at a thrift shop.

There is one exeception, tho...

There used to be a record store that i always went to, and the employees gave me hella deals (they were on their way to closing).

i wonder whatever happened to them...

Some employees or owners of recordstores are nice. You just need to hang there for a while and be nice to them. If they love music as much as you do, they might do you a favour too....

i was digging for some classical piano a while ago, and the owner of the store came up to me and ask me if he could help me. So i ask him if he got any Eric Satie. He says "yeah i got one in the other crate" so i checked but it was too expensive. I told him i didn't wanna pay that much, cus i was just needing it to sample some stuff and he goes: "Oh, i just got in a pile off Debussy records that are kinda similar in sound".
So he GAVE me the whole stack, like 20 records for free!

Yeah, I started talking to one cat who works at a spot I dig at. I told him that I was a new born and that I just bought a portable. He let me kinda bumb my head on a couple of crap records but the more I went to that spot the more he would show and teach me how to dig. Finely He asked me what kind of music I was into he started puting me on to some hot joints infact he sold me Bob James 1,2,3 and 4 four 25 bills. Come to find out that this cat is well respected in my local digin community.


Yo I feel ya on the Jock Riddaz

my local spot got a couple of thousand old records in today..i swear my vinyl sense was tingling becasue i walked in and there were new stacks all over..couldn't hardly get around the little shop..couple more issac hayes, 6-8 cti records, much old blues, salsoul label..i probably found a good crate of sample and listening records out of these thousands...

shitty part is though the only other guy that goes to this store regularlly was there just a few minuetes ahead of me...i had to leave before him too..i hope he doesn'r go through my stack i set aside...the owners shouldn't let him i don't think because i bring the shopkeepers food, trees and promote thge store on my radioshow..if i find things missing in my box imma be really pissed!

i used to dig at this place in Tucson called PDQ's
the vibe wasnt like that at all... very laid back you could peruse
for hours, seemingly. But if you wanted help from one of the staff?

PDQ... I've been there. Dude who worked there told me straight up that he didn't know anything about what I was looking for. He only knew about rock music. Come to think about it... he looked like Rick Rubin.
