I just bought a second hand AKai S950....I realized that it could not save data on usual floppy discs....Can anyone tell me how I can save my data....WHich floppy type would be suitable......???

I don't own a 950 but i think it should be a normal 3.5.You may have to format it to save but it should be a similar process as saving and formatting on the mpc.

I'm Pretty Sure ALSO....................................

The old Density Disks Were used on the other Akai Joints (X7000)
Etc used 2.8...........

I use HD 3.5 floppies and they work !!

But u can`t use them in an mpc .. the mpc wont read the akai S950 formatted disks .

s950 accepts both DD and HD 3.5" floppies...

No, you cant do it. Just sample into your 950 and trigger it via the MPC.... a very tidy combo...!!
