The record, not the store. Besides, $5.99 is normal for a domestic 12, and a screamin deal considering what's on this record that is not on the original 45. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

i just prefer diggin 4 stuff in the thrift stores...
times is hard...a bit toooo hard to be spending more than $3-4 on ONE record
and i just put that ripple 12" on hold...it must be good if we made an entire thread about it.

They are an disco group from the 70's. They got some good disco breaks. Their #1 hit was "There Before The Grace Of God, There Go I".... CLASSIC!
I seen Dusty Groove has a Loose Joints 12" on Westend Records. 6 bucks ain't bad. I paid 22 at gramaphone for the same 12" 4 years ago. It's still a deep house classic.

@Juke
'There But For the Grace...' was by Machine. You are probably thinking of 'The Beat Goes On and On' by Ripple on Salsoul.
The 12 that is the subject of this thread is from Ripple's earlier (73) output which is straight ahead funk and very different from the Salsoul stuff.

What Dusty Groove have is probably a new re-issue because West End are up & running again, re-releasing all their classics & doing a lot of new stuff with a lot of veteran NY/NJ house guys like Blaze & Jovonn. They are even going right back to their disco roots with Gallery DJ Nicky Siano producing & remixing.
I hope what you paid $22 dollars for is an original copy, not the early 90's re-issue with the long Walter Gibbons mix of Betty Lavette "Doing The Best That I Can" on the B side ...... both fantastic tracks but you should find that pressing cheap.
