my vestax took a poop. buy a rane instead? o6 pro?

my vestax o5 pro II has finally had it. what mixer should i get? 06 pro or ttm56? the o6 is for the slim fit and the same fader as my vestax but for a lot more money i could ge the buttery fader i might really want...anyone got a rane? are they over-rated?

Check out the new pioneer joint. The 707 has dropped down to $300 now and uses the same optical fader technology as the Rane fader. My boy has one and the fader is real smooth, and has a lot of adjustments that you can make to fit your style.

I work with the 06, but my next mixer will be the pioneer.

the TTM56 is dope, smooth faders which you don't have to replace. I've had one for going on two years no problems so far.

Get the Rane.

One: Buttery faders with a lifetime warranty. The last model, the one I have (TTM 54) had a 2 year warranty on the faders.

Two: Notice how the upfaders and the crossfader are different on the 05/06/07? Totally different faders. The upfaders on the Rane are identical to the crossfader. this means that you can just switch them out in a pinch, if you have to. I was at a show once and the crossfader took a poop on me. I took a screwdriver, did some surgery, and switched out an upfader for it, and it was fine. This is convenient in situations like that.

Three: the EQs on the Rane go to -40, as opposed to (I think) -20 for a Vestax. thats as close as youre gonna get to a full EQ kill .

Four: no power button! with a Rane, the moment you plug it in, its turned on, the moment you unplug it, its off. this also controls feedback and the "60HZ hum" some mixers have. The power cord is crazy, it looks like a phone plug.

Five: the sound. Excellent. Everyone of my DJ friends jocked it after using it once.

Go for the Rane, you will never look back.

06 Pro more expensive than the 05ProII??? if it's $$$ that's an issue than the 06Pro is what it's all about... unless you're looking at the samurai series...
