Your definition of a Vibe?

Checking for the reactions of djs and party people what`s your definition of a cool ass vibe aka groove when you hear it?



For me I get that chicken skin sensation and that oHH shit that`s the joint for an otherworldly experience when the groove hits my ear natural high when I`m diggin or dancing on the floor.


I`m moving away from randomly searching for bits and pieces to construct together. Just cool ass shit to share as an dj that makes, re-edits, and improve on music.

vibe: to me it's that joint that feels like summer, that thang that gets my booty shakin' and head noddin' with no effort at all. If i'm not feelin it like that then chances are it ain't got no vibe.

I get goosebumps when I hear a good beat. Not just with any good beat though. Something that I really like. Most recent case of goosebumps, was that "Dark Influence" snippet homie posted. That was something awesome and refreshing to my ears.

That was a good VIBE to me.
I get a good vibe with some joints from Erick Sermon, Dre, Quik, Comptons Most Wanted, Battlecat. Just Blaze, early Swizz Beats joints. Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, De La, KRS 1 and Eric B and Rakim. I get that goose bumpy vibe. I don't get it often cause I'm hard to please but when it happens it's a good feeling.

JM^^ got it , i think i can add a bit more tho, theres a certain sound that comes out of the song, like in house theres that rhodes sound that just phucken makes you ewant to dance and gives you that new blood feeling like you jsut get energized from, then in hiphop theres that sample that just phucken knocks and makes u feel like JM said, the goose bumps part i just get on some classic sht that sparks up old memories of what u were doing at the time that song came out,

good party vibe to me is when your rockin the tables and people come up to u and tell you what a great job ur doin and the dance floor is packed and theres no fights the hole nite and broad s be throwing there bras and panties at you.

i think most tracks can fall into 3 criteria-

1) can you stand and drink to it without feeling like you should be dancing?
2) can you dance to it if you want to
3) can you imagine having sex to it- does it make you feel like having sex?

i love it when tracks have all three- thats the vibe

I put on slow jams and That Shake ya ass watch yourself show me what cha working with stuff for sex. But at the party to move the people I got have the heads turn and people running to the floor. Or the car bump test when you pull up in your ride mofos turning heads saying, "who is that and what song you playing shit is nice."

Summertime at a ball game pumping that sound.
