Am I Crazy??

Whats up guys, it sbeen a minute.... anyways, I've been thinkin about selling some of hip hop wax to buy either a pair of Numark Cdj tables or a pair of Pioneer cdj 1000's. And everyone thinks I'm nuts! I mean its either that or serato. So lets discuss shall we?

I also think you're crazy. I think you should save up some more, get with Serato, rip your vinyl to MP3 (for gigs or whatever your plans are) and you don't have to worry about parting with precious wax.

Besides, if you're used to vinyl then I think Serato is the better option. I've tried CD turntables and they're VERY different from vinyl (not in a good way).

I just don't think selling your records is a good idea if you're not completely giving up on the genre. Trust me, you'll miss it.

I know what you're sayin'. I did that before (sold my wax) to buy my first Eps and I regretted it, but I have all that stuff on cd now anyways. I like serato too, alot of my boys started using it. My whole thing about cd turntables that appeals to me personnally is that I can scratch and never worry about the record skipping while I scratch ( gay I know, but true). I dunno I'll think about it some more...

If you're going for CD turntables, then go for the Numark CDX. I've tested them, and they feel pretty damn real - like vinyl. For scratching and mixing, they're way better than the Pioneers. Check em out before you buy.

I'm lettin my boys go through it first (obviously) when they're done I'll make a list and pm it to you. And itchy... I agree I'm goona probab;y go with the Numarks. I've already tested all of them too (numark, pioneer, technics) and I think they are the best.

First off, I'm not sure that homosexuals are more prone to not want to worry about records skipping while they're scratching

Secondly, I'm pretty sure you can set Serato to either know where in the track it is (enabling needle drops but also allowing for skipping) or not, so you don't have to worry about the skipping. I could have sworn I read that somewhere...
