Hey man, I'm having a hard time listeneing to the clip, but I have the record and am, in fact, now examining it. This is the same song that I've heard tons of times so I assume its the one we all know. It was written by H.W. Casey and R. Finch (who did play and produce KC and the Sunshine Band, so maybe that's why you're getting weird results), who wrote all the tunes on the record. They play drums bass and piano. I'll record a copy and link it up here in a day or so if you want. peace

Harry Wayne Casey is the KC from KC & The Sunshine Band....... Casey ..... KC .... get it?!?!

There are a lot of versions of "I Get Lifted". George McCrae's is generally considered the best one. It is a little slower & deeper than the Sunshine Band 's one. I think both came out in the same year...74, but I don't know which was first because a lot of the other versions of the track were also produced by Casey, mainly for other Miami-based artists including George McCrae & Latimore. I'm pretty sure I've got a not very good version by Jimmy Bo Horne...... another H W Casey produced artist.

A quick google search is also coming up with a disco version by Sweet Music

do all those others sound the same ,

i 'm asume KC's is the original version right! because UBB put's only original versions on there compilations,

thanks featherboy, for your insight you always got that sht on the disco locked down.

The artist you want is KC and The Sunshine Band.

The Album is "...And More"

The George McCrae version is quite different. I haven't heard the Latimore or other versions. Are ya'll sure they are the same song not just same title?

BTW e.d.e. is this what you are looking for? This thread is kinda confusing.
