anyone got some suggestions for records that have decent of guitar feedback sounds on them?..

am making a breakbeat jazz track and thinking I might want some guitar feedback on it.

please no jimi hendrix! as much as i love jimi i'm trying to avoid sampling him and looking for something other than hendrix.

Look for live albums from rock bands.

Also, doesn't Van Halen Eruption end with some feedback? Can't remember.

thanks for the tips - yeah i knew to check for live bands, but i'll try and keep an eye out for some van halen

like you said e.d.e jimi is the king of feedback. i jus remebered i've got quite a rare live recording of his that will prob have exactly what i'm looking for. fuk it - i may just break my 'dont sample jimi! rule'.

i got a bunch of aerosmith cds i'm going through at the moment, but havent found anything usefull yet.

thats just given me another idea  i got a load of stand up comedy dvds and various richard pryor audio recordings. probably some mic feedback somewhere on those too. not guitars but its might do the job.

HOW U SAY........................................

Well IF U HAVE A GUITAR N AMP THAT WOULD MAKE IT EXTRA EASY.........................................

Just Put The Pick ups Right ON The AMPs Speaker And Keep UR Mic IN A Close PROXIMITY (Becareful as this Could Destroy Ur Monitors, Ears and Even Ur Love Life)..................................

What U Dont have A Guitar And a AMP Box..................

OK......OK........................

Try this Get An Electric Guitar Soundfont.........(.SF2) File...........

Just Google it Altavista or Whatever................(They Are FREE)

Next Load it into UR Sequencer of Choice....EVEN (REASON) will take these.............................

Then

1.Load A Tube or Amp Plugin or BOTH......................

2.Load 2 Compressors and Push Them HARD(Gain 12db) or more.........

3.If U Choose 2 Add A Distortion or Overdrive or Fuzz Plugin.............

4. IF U want Some MORE Space Use Some Reverb.............Etc........

Hope that Helps GOOD LUCK.................................

Let Me Know How IT GOES....................
