needle

hooking up a new needle and putting it togeather might be the hardest thing ive ever attempted to do. two weeks still cant get it. i hate my life.thought id share

i bought a new needle and its just a bunch of little wires and pieces the directions are no use. i mean i have an idea what to do but the wires like wont fit in the plugs with the corresponding color, and im just mad, and ****

I bought an audio technica cartridge awhile ago. It took me about 10 minutes to put it on, but I know exaactly what you are talking about.

I actually had to pry open the metal connectors on the wires a little with a small screw driver to get them to fit. You may have to do a bit of prying open or squishing of the connectors on the wires to get them to fit. Just be careful.

Getting the cartridge on the headshell is tricky. It took me a few attempts. When I got it on, a week later it got loose and I almost broke the needle when I tried to play a record.

You may have to get two screw drivers. One to hold the bolt at the botton in place and the other to tighten the screw on the top. It's not easy. If you keep fumbling it, try and get someone to help you. One person to tighten the screw and one person to make sure the bolt on the bottom doesn't move. Make sure that cartride is on straight or else your left and right balance will be out of proportion and your sound might be distorted.

Yeah, they might seem like they won't fit, you just have to push them on really hard. It's harder too if you have big fingers [no homo]
