been digging and digging now i got more crates.

the record fair came to town yesterday and man this place is sick. I spent like $160 on a stack. Lots of sick jazz and shit like that.

it was crazy though cause it was like the first dealer i went to, he had some decent jazz like the somewhat hard to find joints from like bobjames, cal tjader, l hampton, shit like that, but for like $8 a pop. Good shit to fill holes in your collection.

The next cat i went to, he had a very small jazz section. Just copped two pieces that i knew were fire for like $20. Money well spent.

Next dealer had some sick dollar bin jazz. Cleaned up there. Got a bunch of pretty slept on and rare joints that the covers were all tattered, like from a radio stations abuse. Spent like $20 there. Lots of heat

The last dude was the goldmine dude. He had the hotest shit and was intune to the crate digging scene. BUUUT he knew what shit was worth so it was pricy as fu**. Dude got me for like $80 for only a few pieces, but the sickest finds of the day. U just got to fu** like cats like that cause they really do know the deal and what your really looking for.

But thats the end of my crate digging for a minute. electric bought to get shut off so i gotta stack some loot real quick. I do got some flyers though in the van that some shows out in cali and shows around the tristate area popping off. Its out in the car so check back later when i go out there.

Damn fam u pay alot for records yo. Most I ever paid for wax to sample was 2 dollars. Good score though congrats

yo i dont think you cats dont understand , not everything some us cats buy is just for sampling , we dj and we play that shizz at party's. its not all about sampling kids.
at least for me , i buy to play at party's , i've said it be4 i'm a dj first then a beat maker, so if i buy, i buy to play and listen .

(Sheet I spent $30 on the that percolator record in the late 90's) come to find out the next year it got released on white label with "follow me" on the b-side, the white label version was $6.00 I fealt like a real ass

yeah but u got the og pressing. That is nice to have and it will stay valuable. But i dont even sell my records so i dont stress the money shit. I also do sample off my $100 record, but i didnt buy it cause of that. I just really really liked the band. I also go digigng though on a budget so i will pass on the $30 and $50 joints, when i need to save some loot.

Word,i'm with you guys on that.I don't feel that every album is bought to sample.I collect albums.Some of them i just play when doing random chores around the house.When someone ask me am i buying for production i usually just say i collect,depending on what i have.But alot of times that's what i'm dong, collecting.

Im not gonna lie I just got into this(bout a month or 2 back) but I love the history of music so aside from buying vinly for sampling purposes, I just like the Idea of having a peice of history.

i stopped only digging at the thirft shop about 6 months ago, ive realised that theres more out there than that, and im not gonna find it in thrift shops, i still go there because sometimes there are suprises, but i like to go to other places to

man, when i started diggin as a kid, records werent cheap, 7.99 an album domestic, imports were 12.99 and buying used records hardly ever, people didnt give there records away back then,

plus the cost of living back then was not like it is today. 5 bucks for a record is nothing, i'll drop that anytime, depending on the conditon and what it is .
