Sample help

is there any tips somebody can give me regarding loopin samples.well actually just tips to making tracks wit them..i can do samples with just vocals but when they have instruments i find it hard to loop...and or hard to find good phrases ..or just good i think there called riffs[not just guitar]everytime i try to just use a piece of the shit...loop just sounds funny..when it switches to the 1[bar]any videos or anything...i have mpc1000 with adobe audition to edit samples...should i make them very tiny chops and play with it..or should i go with say 1 bar...but on most songs they sing over bars and end on other bars then the 1...so i might have a sample that 1bar 3 beats how do i make them correct?can somebody say provide a basic sample and somewhat walk thru it...

I just chop the sample in a couple of pieces and do anything i want with it.
this way you could keep the loop as it is, but you can also flip it like a maniac this way (change order of chops etc.).

i hear alot of people say that but if u do that...how do i get even chops so i don't have to bang on my mpc at all different tempos to get it to be sync...what program do u guys use to get even chops?

i use an mpc 1000 as well i chop within the mpc its much easier. when working with loops i just use pad 13 and audition the sample as a loop and adjust to fit the beat (tempo)

if your working with one shots you just gotta do everything by ear. just adjust until it sounds correct.

mess around with the attack and decay(press the window button when in the program page, when the volume of the sample is highlighted) the attack helps making sounds like guitars sound in my opinion not so rough it sounds more natural not so much like how a kick hits boom it just makes it softer like a oom. hard to explain. but geahh
