The "expand your musical palette" thread

Tried this on another board, but the concept of one at a time seemed to be lost on them, so hopefully this will work better here.

I think it would be good to have a thread where basically someone names an artist/group that they've always wanted to check out but never really got round to it. Someone else can then post a couple of their favourite songs by that group, and then a couple of songs by a group that they consider to be similar. They then obviously request another artist/band that they want to hear some songs of, and the whole thing keeps on going. I figured it would be a good way for people to expand what they are currently listening to, and it encourages involvement, but you can't make a request yourself without having filled some elses previous request.

Anyone wanna put in a request to start this one rolling?

Good idea basically. I think you might have to get it rolling yourself with an example...

The advantage there is that you don't have to worry about getting the music you get advised to listen to...it plays it right away for you.

Ok I'll go with Cal Tjader, always heard his named mentioned by people, but never checked out any of his stuff. So if someone can upload a couple of their favourite tracks by him, and then a couple of tracks from a similar artist, and then make their request.

that pandora thing isnt all that didnt find Charles Aznavour, Alla pugachova, Demis Russo man all of these are international artists and if anybody finds em they got it good, i dont know why im really into digging international songs and artists i got a gang of more names but just cant remember em now ohhh ya Arthur Meschian Does anybody else do this " international" digging thing? just wonderin like for example ,, Italian, turkish, yedish lol all of these i mean i search countrywise
