Sly and the Family Stone- Stand! (7.99)
Herbie Hancock- Sextant (6.99)
Average White Band- Cut the Cake (4.99)
Rare Earth- Willie Remembers.. (6.99)

I wasn't really worried about prices...more about expanding my collection.

What do you think? Did I do Aight?

If you like them you did alright.

I think "Stand" is one of the best songs ever written, & "Sing A Simple Song" is on that album too.

Thx for the info on that record shop. I doubt I'll be in Cali any time soon. I know that the records I bought were kind of overpriced but there are only few record stores in NJ (Trenton area). That's why I went to PA. I'm saving up money to go to Poland this summer. I hope to find some good records over there. The're mad cheap and rare. Also I'm trying to go to the Annual Hip Hop Kemp in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic... This is the biggest underground hip hop event in Europe. Check it out anyone interested http://www.ukhh.com/hiphopkemp/

I'm not real crazily into diggin or anything, but why spend more than 5 bucks for a record, unless it's something rare, or something you've specifically been looking for?

I've put ads in the paper for records and caught some great deals...Also I go to places like GoodWill, Antique stores, pawn shops, yard sales, and shit like that....where I'll buy like 50 for 10 bucks, or 20 for 5-10 bucks, or a couple crates for 20-30 bucks...

There are tons of people with boatloads of old records and they don't care about getting more than 5 bucks for each or anything, most of time they're just looking to get rid of em..

the albums I pick are all random...I try to stay away from any name artists, so I usually only dig under the letter sections, for example A or H, cause if an artist doesn't even have his own section, there's more chance I'll find some more obscure type of shit...has its advantages and disadvantes, haven't even been digging long enough to tell what's shit and what isn't. Everything sounds like gold to me cause I don't like to take loops I just take sounds.
