I sometimes go months without buying a single record, then other times I might buy 300-500 records in a weekend, then 300-500 the next weekend.
I still have yet to spend over $500 in one day. *proud*
This last 2 months I've been f#@kin' nuts...
...
...over 2000 records...about 1100 coming out of one show.
On average maybe 100 a month, as I've been diggin for 5 years now, and have just over 6000 records, at last count.
Peace to all the diggers.

BTW, @ DJ E.D.E., alot of people sleep on the 80's, I agree...
...but IMHO, the 70's, in America, beats the sh!t out of any other musical decade in Earth's existence.
Just like film, in America, in the 90's...

WOW alpha coming froma chicagoian thats odd,
chicago in the 80's originated house ,techno, hiphouse, and made freestyle music more popular to the world. with original beats .
music in the 80's was the 80's was new change like the 50's and rock and roll,
dont get me wrong the 70's was great too, but music in that time needed a change, just like we need change in music today.
i was a teen in the 80's so maybe what it was is that i was discovering new music in that decade and hiphop was one but i was also aware of everything else that was coming out in that time.

^^^I know right, all my older cousins used to poke fun @ me, for not liking house music, freestyle, etc., and almost exclusively listening to Rap/Hip-Hop...
I understand someone who came up in the 80’s being so proud of what happened in that decade.
More new techniques/methods to make music were created in the 80’s than any other decade, techniques I’m still using today, and I’m grateful.
It’s just my opinion, that American music from the 70’s just had some special kind of magic to it, I guess it can be attributed to what took place in the late 60’s, and early 70’s…and the momentum that created....
The Vietnam War ending
Civil rights movement succeeding
Women’s rights movement succeeding
Nixon’s impeachment
Woodstock, Etc.
When righteousness from the people overtakes injustice by the leaders, the result on the population can be astoundingly positive, and call me crazy, but I think that had something to do with why there was so much love in American music during the 1970’s…
The 80’s saw hip-hop become successful, so it still ranks right up there on my list, I just cannot honestly say I don’t prefer the beautiful, natural, loving sound of American music from the 70’s.
Peace to all the diggers, and don’t sleep on records from the 80’s

depends on how much cash I have at the end of the month anywhere from 20 to 50 a month. It seems that every time I get ready to really spend some doe I only find five to ten records I really like. I was in Charllote over the weekend and hit three spots expecting to come home with a ton of wax but only ended up with ten records that moved me.
