IM FAIRLY NEW TO DIS SAMPLING GAME, SO CAN ANYBODY GIVE ME SOME TIPS ON CLEANING UP SAMPLES BEFORE CHOPPIN??

1)clean your records
2)filter a little
3) use the eq on your mixer
4)this should be in production techniques realy
5)why do you want clean samples the grimmeyer the better

I HAVE ONE MORE QUESTION TO ASK IF YOU DONT MIND, WHAN CHOPPIN DA SAMPLE UP IS IT BEST TO SLICE AT EVERY SNARE/CLAP AND DO EACH OF DA THE SLICES HAVE TO BE THE SAME LENGTH?

Depending on the Density of the Sample (ie... clean drum break, or Drums with a Bassline) you can chop each individual drum.

Some prefer to keep the hats at the end, or to add Air to give a less choppy feel.
You'll have to experiment with what works for you.
