SonicLabsAudio man you need to switch up your spots.
SO TRUE ,YOU NEED TO GIVE THE PLACE A FEW DAYS OFF TO RESTOCK,
I KNOW I DO THIS.
Soundtrack_Galaxy .. i dont want to buy atlantic or motown records cuz those are played out....
THAT'S A PERSONAL THING CAUSE THOSE ARE THE LABELS THAT HAVE SOME OF THE BEST SAMPLES ON THEM "VANILLA FUDGE" GREAT BREAKS "ATLANTIC" ,HERBBIE MANN "ATLANTIC"
EDDIE KENDRICKS "MOTOWN" TAMALA IS A PART OF MOTOWN TOO DONT SLEEP.
spectre I buy records to listen to the music first and foremost. Samples come second.
I used to just buy a bunch of records looking for samples but I have expanded my musical tastes and I know what I like. Once you know music and what you want your music to sound like you will know where to find those samples.
I'm not some guru on this **** like some others on the board. But as time goes by I have noticed that I buy a lot less **** records than I did.
Keep diggin
YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH,
YOU NEED TO LISTEN MORE,DONT JUST BUY TO SAMPLE OR THINK THAT THE RECORDS GOIN TO HAVE SAMPLES COME RIGHT OFF OF IT SAMPLING IS AN ARTFORM YOU NEED TO LISTEN FOR SAMPLES, PLAY YOUR RECORDS WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN THE STUDIO OR BEAT MAKING MODE, LISTEN WHILE YOU DO YOUR HOME WORK OR CHOIRS LISTEN TO WHATS BEING PLAYED THEN YOU WILL HEAR STUFF THAT YOU NEVER NOTICED BEFORE, THIS IS NOT A NORMAL FAZE OF NOT FINDING THINGS, YOU JUST HAVE TO LISTEN IS ALL,YOUR TRYING TO HARD TO FIND SOMETHING OR HAVE IT POP OUT AT YOU.
THERES GOOD ADVISE ON THIS THREADREAD IT CAREFULLY AND YOU WILL BE A BETTER DIGGER AND SAMPLE BETTER,
SPECTRE KNOWS HE'S TELLIN YOU FROM HIS OWN TRIBULATIONS.
