i recently heard some really dark heavy drums some guy sampled from a cradle of filth record... then threw some effects on...

pretty insane shiiiet.

same guy also messes around a lot with that program, drumcore 2.0 - it's got some pretty crazy live drummer samples, but nothing that dark...

take a peep.

Check out the "Drum Kit From Hell" program. Tomas Haake from Meshuggah is the man behind this set and its pretty crazy. Take a listen to,"Catch 33" he programed his drums using DFH.

meshuggah is something else alright.

you say he programmed drums?

i have "Nothing" at my desk right now.

i think i'll pop it in and give it a listen

Did you get the, "Nothing" re-issue? Its sound a WHOLE lot better. The guitars were re-recorded using the new 8-string monster these duded play. Haake only programed his drums on "Catch 33" due to pressure from the label to get it out. Believe you me though, Haake can play anything he programed on that album.

i have the enhanced version with the orange cover.

from what i understand, the other one is the re-issued one that was remastered.

so i don't know. either way, those dudes are crazy!

they are always on some off time craziness.

while all the mpc forums metal heads are gathered in one spot i might as well ask.

does anyone have any straight drum samples that you would hear on your average death/grindcore blast beat type of cd. you know the stereotypical drumset sound you hear when a metal drummer is playing with triggers?

its cheezey, but still something i've wanted for a bit. mostly for songwriting purposes. and unlike BFD and DFH i don't need 5 dvd's of drum sounds at different velocities. i just want a good kit in that style to throw in my mpc and get down to business.

would be most appreciated.
