how can i clean my samples up a bit before beat production?

hey guys im new to sample produced beats and i was wondering what some of u guys might do to clean ur samples up a bit...

Try to eq the sound to make it more suitable for your needs.

I usually run the sample throough the 3 band eq on my mixer before it hits the Mp, but if the sample is just to dirty and I want it to really sound clean than I'll sample it to my cpu and clean it up there then I send it to the Mp.
