I copped an old skool breakdance record that I knew was going to be the ish. I overpayed for it, $2.50, but I was still all hyped about it. Got home, got ready to load it up, and I pull out "America the Beautiful." No Electric Breakdance for me, but now every time I will check the actual record first! 8)

You should be checking it anyways for scratches and shit. Learned the hard way I guess. As punishment you should play America the Beautiful nonstop for four hours. I'd seriously flip that joint, though. I like it when strange circumstances like that fall into my lap. Makes me think it was meant to be.

i really hate when this happens.

Whats worse, when you dont look in the jacket, and it feels like theres a record in there and when you get home....empty jacket. i hate that shit

also, i hate buying a record then getting home realizing you already have the same one and it sucks.

the lesson here is look in the damn jacket!

This never happens to me at record stores. But it did happen once or twice at a thrift shop. Ever since then I always check. When I find something in a thrift store that's too good to be true, A LOT of times the actual record won't even be in the cover. Pisses me off.

Word, man. I'd rather pay that 2.99 or whatever it costs than steal from somebody's shop. Last thing we need is more music stores goin outta business...

...not to mention you'd look like such a dumbfcuk if you got caught stealin some records, lol
