Yo, I am thinking about buying a Numark PT-01, and I am wondering if the sound quality is good enough for sampling. I've heard mixed reviews on it, somebody says that it's good for sampling, other says that the sound quality sucks and that it's only good for portable uses like previewing when digging etc. And I also wondered if anybody have the PT-01, and could record a snippet with it and put it on here, and if you have the opportunity, also record the same snippet from the same record with a "better" turntable. Ps, isn't it possible to put on a better stylus on the PT-01? I know that there are replacement needles only for PT-01 and that it has different connection terminals than other needles, but isn't it possible at all with some modification, to put on a better needle on the PT-01?

Thanks

don't really know if this is best place for your question but here's a link to someone who is having no problems at all using it... in fact, there's a kev brown video on youtube where he's using the pt-01 as well...

hows about someone with a technics 1200 or whatever turntable, with a good or decent needle and the numark portable turntable post files of the same sample in order to compare the differences..

but if you arent sampling you should get it for your digging purposes

I use one, and I really don't mind it. I just wish it was direct drive, but I love it otherwise.
