Man so I go buy new records weekly man and so I'm diggin finding shit that looks hot... but then Iget it home and it wack as fcuk... like maybe it will be easy listening just not sample material not made for hiphop... Or its messed up cause the sample that'll be hot as hell will have some ol bull drums or crappy instruments on top of it and you can't pull it.... anyone ever had this problem?

Looking for easy smooth samples.... strings soulful stuff with room to pull something tryna hit up the record spot tomorrow gimme some suggestions folks

u should make a list of wat to buy or not..

like for me

i buy by record lables like A&M, Atlantic, Elektra, ect...

or by names, if i see Stylistics i get it, or if i see Stylistics with some other cats i get it...

just need to dig, i have major bad luck at digging too cuz i dont have and offical spot where i go to dig... so 5 out of 7 records are wack... just gotta deal wit it.

You got a 2500? Just sample that ish and chop the eff outta it. Then layer your drums over the weak ones.

Hope that helps.

Peace

im always lucky :D most of the time i go digging on flea markets and all without beein able to listen to the record and if i come home i have like 70 procent of usable material. If I go to shops and markets where i can listen, i come home with true gold 8)
rule number one... i never buy after ´79
i always look for instrumental stuff. if theres written on the back: "Vocals by mr X" I do not buy it (or i have to know it). If it says Dixieland... LEAVE IT THERE!! lol
10 euro is the limit!! I prefer free old garbage. re issues or no reissues.. i dont give a rats arse. most of tje time i pay 1 euro per record ... or i might buy a good record for 30 bucks but thats not for sampling. if its worth something, its too well known and i will not use it.. thats my second rule.

I don't check labels very much...I mostly check the people that are on it and what instruments they play plus who was the producer...
