vinyl fair in Paris

don't know what this will be like but i thought i'd put it out there for any 1 in paris

Judging from what I've heard from the cats I know that live in Europe, you pay outrageous prices for "Rare Grooves". That's second hand knowledge, though.

yeah, i'd imagine that it will be a bit pricey. you never know though, i'm undecided if i'm going yet, got a lot on tomorrow.
i want to check it out to see what the deal is.
at least have a beer and listen to some tunes.

I'm from belgium and fairs over here are indeed pretty expensive...For Americans it's OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED! You sometimes can get good stuff on fleamarkets but it depends who's selling...A lot of times the selection is just depressing...

I went nuts the first time I came to the states to buy records, only for the prices alone...

at fairs like that you would expect to pay more money them guys dont fuc around they know what they have and they know what it's worth .

in 1817 that was the first record ever made.

dont forget we have a big sale on that day to celebrate it's birthday
and in san luis obispo they have a hugh festival.

ahh, cheers for the info, i never knew that. i remember reading the first guy to actually record a sound did it in 1806 but couldn't play it back. that's weird cos how would you know it recorded if you couldn't listen to it back?!

i'm gonna head down there this afternoon, i doubt i'll be buying much.
it's a nice bar though. it used to be a train station, before there were cars and there was a ring road, there was a train that ran around paris and this was one of the stations.

I'm too broke to even breathe in Paris, there's no way I could go to a record convention there...
