Another quick question fellas...well..quick and long lol...

any one know any good places to look up vinyl??

I used to collect sports cards (still have tons lol) and they have a "beckett and tuff stuff" if your not familiar it's pretty much a monthly price guide to sports cards in different years, sets, etc. and they keep it updated you can even now join the sites and just type in the card and boom it finds it for you with quickness (although I think there is a monthly charge)

Any how I was just curious if there is something similar for records....

Because I'm really not a huge collector persay I just don't have the knowledge to be a collector, I'm more of a see it, buy it, bump it kinda guy so I do have a good size collection none the less....while I sift through them and get the goods and the bads I will keep the records I sample from but the ones that I didnt find any thing on really have no value "to me" yet they may still be valuable get me? And if I could sell them and use the funds to invest in more records that would be sweeeet so yea do yall know of any info on sites or magazines, guides or anything that can find the values or worth a record.....?

also sites that maybe do selling or trading (other then fleabay) or maybe that the best place?? any help would be appreciated as always....

Record Collector magazine publish a price guide every year or so. A lot of people use it for their record gradings and prices (despite others using ebay prices!)
I'm just not sure if you can pick it up in the states.

well it's good to atleast know there is such a thing, hopefully they carry it in the states as well...or if anything maybe have a place on the internet where it can be ordered and shipped or even better a pdf. download of some sort....unless it's as thick as a phone book lol, by the time I'd finish printing it, they would release the next years version haha....

It's hard to research anything bout it because I don't have any names or much info to go on, so yea my man anything you find or come across that may help guide me with prices and worth would be the sheeeyat!!

Weeeell I've just done a bit more research and discovered that record collectors rare record price guide only covers UK releases, so I dunno if that'll help. Google rare record price guide and have a look around for yourselves.

However there appearrs to be a more US-centric publication called the Goldmine price guide which comes in different forms for Albums, 45s etc. so I'm gonna have a look into these books(which are available in the states, Amazon carry them for starters) and if I can find downloadable versions of any of these books I'll be certain to post 'em up
