From a resale shop, 50 records for 15 is kinda high. I go to the salvation army and get records for 25 cents, and even at that price, they usually take a few bux off the entire lot. I just got 150+ records on craigslist for $20, and a few months ago I got collectors entire classical music collection (the equivalent of 8-10 crates) for $75.. I didn't even want it, but it was so clean and some has to be over 100 years old. Anyways, the price of wax may be higher in your area, but unless your buying from a store, get some rock bottom prices. Wax is getting more and more rare now, so in all actuality, i guess the price isn't that bad at all! :)

$.30 per record is high?

man ya'll are crazy : )

I'd say if he's happy with what he got, then $15 is a HELL of a deal.

i mean yeah, i find records for $.50 that are in good shape here and there. But the average in Ohio for a record in good condition is about $1 a pop.

no matter where you go.

it just depends on who's got them, why they have them.

the insurance company that i work for has a "classifieds" thing on there intranet that spans across the 3-4 states around us and you can post wanted adds, or things that you want to sell on there for free.

i posted up asking for records and about 12-15 people replied about selling/giving me their records. This is a great way to haggle people out of there dusty ass record cases.

cheap cheap cheap
