Lynton Kwesi Johnson has a lot of clean isolated dub sounds... The Gladiators, Black Uhuru, Dillinger, Augustus Pablo, dancehall-sizzla, capleton,anthony b, Junior Kelly. In my opinion every reggae album has good stuff to sample. Sample it, chop it up and rock it.

why not sample the real sounds and assign them to pads? You can trim up any instrument, and use it the same way you would use synth sound that you buy off the internet, but they aren't generic.
