Ive been reading this crate digging section all the way through its 100 some odd pages and i keep seeing distressing things like "what records should i look for?" or "what kind of sounds should i get?" or "what records have dope drumbreaks?" WHAT KIND OF %$%$ is THAT? After dudes have searched far and wide, high and low only to find a drum sample no ones used, you expect someone to just give it away so you can try and find it at rasputins?

this isnt piano lessons where someone can teach you how to find dope records and things to sample.GO LOOK YOURSELF. BE ORIGINAL. If you have to ask someone such a stupid question like "what kind of records should i buy" return all your vinyl and stick to listening to rap.(but you obviously cant do that right if your asking about the sounds in it)

i understand theres a lot of young people on here who want to get into production but a lot of you new jacks need to fall back and just observe and let real heads converse and gain knowledge.

peace to the real heads

Hear what ya sayin bud and you're right. What I would say is to not let it get to you (or anyone else) as its always gonna happen, just use my method.. if some cat jumps on and straight out wants to know this and that I'll usually just ignore the dude, but if a new guy comes on and attempts to justify his level of new to the game type questions i'll consider answering..... at the end of the day I don't worry too much as its my option to answer or not and how much i wanna give up.

Also remember that these new cats got it real bad when they gotta ask over the internet via forums  ...... weren't none of that when I started, just a simple policy of get out there and find the stuff...... Ya'll old heads know where i'm coming from on that 8)

yeah i feel u. if u have to ask then it's not important enough to you to try it on your own.

but in all fairness...

record shopping, crate digging, whatever u want to call it......it makes absolutely NO sense to someone who's never done it before. so if u give them anything, give them the benefit of the doubt.

i always hear the guy at the record store on the phone with the SAME lines

"well those records are good, but nobody buys records that everyone has."

they just dont understand
