Pen Ink Removal

Well I bid on a Pet Sounds in "Excellent" condition, only to find out it's got a name in pen ink on the back cover, along with a seam split, on the cover and the sleeve. Paid too much for it in this condition, so now the woman is going to give me a refund.

With that said I'm going to try to get the pen ink off with Goo Gone, anyone ever attempted this?

And yes I'm aware there is a vinyl care thread, and I've searched the site and there is nothing on this particular topic of pen ink removal from a record cover.

well i have seen this many times in 30yrs,
i have yet to fuc with that part of it , as i dont worrie to much about the ink, if you try to take ink off you'll just fuc it up and i knonw cause i have done it my self with some records, the only thing you can take off is grease pen markings, not INK, you will just remove the cover ink causeing a white blotch, just leave it alone but put plastic on the cover so it wont rip more and get more jacked,

i have this stuff called AMAZE it's some nontoxic sh!t i bought from one them guys that comes to your door selling those cleaners it removes tuff stains i havent tried it but i have done it with other cleaners and it fuct up my cver thats why i dont do it any more,
