Metzner Starlight 60A Turntable...

Lol so my grandma comes over to my house and drops off one of these turntables...the sound sucks...it sounds like its comin from a distance...it has two digital out and in wires and thats it. what do i do to fix this problem besides buyin a good turntable lol..do i need a mixer...or what...i wanna record it into my mpc and i have one of those digital wires into the digital in on the mpc and im tryin to record but the mpc is not pickin up anything....i swear this thing is from the 50's lol but yeah any help? Are there any alternatives with out a mixer for right now?

hey i dont think those wires are digital outs... especially if it's from the 50s... rca cables, most likely. you probably need to run them through a pre-amp or mixer first, to get them amplified to line level...

Take some pics of it, so we can identify the cables. My old portable from the 60's has only one output (RCA connector), because it is mono. But it is not digital! You are shure you can't fit cables like this to the outs?



Found some info:

Looks like it's mono.
