JAZZ

Ok, so ive been listening to damu the fudge munk a lot recently and his beats are sick. My collection is mainly jazz, but i spent hours goin thru all my records to find same style breaks as he's using and still nothing.

Anyone got any idea of names that are good apart from the obvious ones?

i don't even know what a "Fudge monk" is, but it sounds kinky.

you just gotta go dig, experiment and dig some more. step outside of jazz some as well.

look at the session players on your fav. albums and keep your eyes peeled for those artists. i may not know anyone on a particular album, but if Idris Muhammad is the drummer, i'm gettin that album. just pay attention, buy things outside of your comfort zone, and be willing to experiment.

theres more they all have some funky breaks and tunes aswell you just got to go out and find them, i would give you names of albums but then your goin to make me go and in dig in my crates and i 'm not in the mood right now....got thing to do before work where i can check out more recrds

what type of jazz is this guy i have never heard of him, sounds like modern jazz, jazz fusion or something.?
