ella jenkins: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ella_Jenkins

this old bird's many cds and albums are all like....instructive kind of things, call and response children records, and a variety of percussive lessons. her work is basically a humongous sample library.

some of the best chopable, open samples can be found in instructional cds, records, and vhs...ella jenkins is no exception.

highly recommended.

what, hand claps? i love em.

oh, and to the alexandrian - gmu library. bring a laptop and audiograbber there and rip waves from thousands of cds. you can get all the ella jenk's in about 30 minutes and leave with a bunch of great samples that will last you a while.
