i hope im not too late

on sundays there is a flea market just a little north of the center of the city (just ask anybody around where the flea market is and they'll direct you). there will be mad records everywhere--just be careful of the prices.

there's a record store called "solia" or something on the street where the flea market is, i dont remember the exact name because there were records everywhere. I just saw records and immediately started digging ignoring any kind of signs tha didnt have any prices on them.

this store was my favorite out there because all of their 45s had original jackets. when i say ALL, i mean ALL.

I hope they'll still be open by the time I get back out there--whenever that is...

i would tell you to go to recordstorereview.com, but they just shut down due to lack of funds.

bummer

You actually were :D

But you wouldn't believe, I actually found a couple of stores right under the hotel I lived in on Plaza de San Martin, it's the way to the underground parking lot obviously where they filled some stores with records. That was enough to keep me busy for the limited time I had for that.

This place is called "metralleta" and is an amazing place to dig in madrid. It´s near a street called Navas de Tolosa, in the "Plaza de las descalazas", near Plaza de Callao, you have to go into a parking that is underground, Metralleta consists in three shops, one for vinyls, another for 1 euro dusty vinyls and VHS videos, and another one for cds, all second hand and each shop is near the other so all of them are in the same place. Here you hace a website, check the shops under the name "segundamano" (second hand)

Yea, that's exactly the one. Wasn't sure if they were one shop or three different, but they all had the same bags :D
