Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hello again.
I just bought and installed (after several difficulties due to little space in the mpc) the adat card.
Some questions:
1. In the global mode, mps "sees" the adat card, but when i put out the caps, the "out" one blinks red, but the "ins" one doesnt light. Is this normal?
2. In the multi mode, in the outs, i have L/R, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, L, R and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. Which ones are the adat outs, and which are the analog outs . (i have the 8out analog card too).
Can i use 8 analog + 8 adat chanels? Total 16, or they are "mirror" tracks?
3. In the record mode, i have adat 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8. Is this normal? Adat card "gives" 2 ins i think. So i should have 1/2 only!

If someone has the adat card, and works with it, please tell me if all these are normal, as i dont have any other adat interface to check my card with. (i m about to have !)

thanks a lot

it depends on which channel you are sending from the source

I hope you did'nt look that beam or light straight into your eye. No joke! It will blind you.

Yea, just the output omits the light. The input of course recieves the data so it will not show any light/beam. Plus the adat format works in pairs. So if you're seeing 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, & 7/8 paired together, then this is more than likely your adat ports. This is similar to the adat output coming from my echo soundcard.
