How'd you recommend to assign samples to the keys if you
had 1 sample per octave with root frequencies (C2, C3, C4,...) ?
Would you use pure up-pitch-shiftung (sample C3 covers keys C3 to B3),
or also a mixture of up- and down-pitching like: sample C3 covering the keys from G2 to #F3.
I'm planning to sample some of my favorite synths into the MPC4000
and want to have a good starting point for this work.
Any general advices/experiences?
