Sh!t, my pads are double hitting

My MPC-4G is a little over a year old. Im noticing on the 3rd row of pads (verticly from left to right) that the samples double hit sometimes when I hit the pad. Like instead of hitting the pad and getting a snare, I hit the pad and get 2 sometimes 3 quick snares. Does anyone know a remedy to this that i can do myself?

i think u need to break em in. Mine used to do that but after a while i guess i got good at wackin it

Try going into the test mode. Global, then Shift+Global. Check the pads you mentioned. I had a simular problem less than three weeks ago and in the test mode it showed that I was getting a constant signal even though I was not touching the pads. I managed to fix it myself. Let me know if you find a problem.

hit your pad a few thousand times hard as possible
