mpc 4k low volume levels?

ok im basically using a mpc 4k ,motif xs module,and m3 module,i also have a midi sportand protools rack.i have my two modules going into protools on inputs 1&2 and 3&4 with the mpc on 5&6.i use the mpc for sequencing my modules as well as my drum tracks only problem is im not getting good volume levels from my mpc the modules levels are good but even with the mpc at full volume levels in protools r low, is there a way to boost the levels into protools without buying a preamp?
also pls holla at me if any members here live in cherry hill area of nj i need to hook up with some 4k users i have alot of questions on the 4k and id like to hang with someone whp can help me out and learn how to use it.

Does everyone here use a preamp with there 4k or
is it possible to get enough gain without it going into protools,I'm getting pretty low levels with the volume maxed?

push the gain button next to rec volume to see if it works.

thanks alot for replying honestly i didnt even realize there was a gain button so ill try it only cause the levels sound loud when using a pair of head phones or my monitors so i couldnt understand why it wasnt translating to protools.ill check it out so as i get back home.
