You are on track log- is a curved line and linear is a straight line at an angle. Check the reference manual on page 49 or go to seq edit highligt control change at the bottom. Hold the shift button and highlight the region you want to edit. Press the overdub button and the paste button changes to insert. press it and the Insert event page is highlighted. Adjust time for the region and now you can see the a curve with the names of each type.
Change the Curve to see the shape of each. Linear, Logarithm, and Exponential.
