Finally...OS1.60

You cat's know if it's the 1.51c they had up 7/30/04...or is it tweaked beyond that??

Either burn it to a CD or even better get yourself a usb stick drag the OS to the stick icon. Plug the usb stick in the front slot of the MPC and highlight usb memory in Load page hit do it and wait. Lastly restart the machine it very smooth and safe. hassle free.

SANDisk makes a good one, USB stick that is, for 128 MB and 256MB. They're about 30-50 bucks. That;'s a good thing to have for other things as well.

ACtually loading the OS on this thing IS real easy. I just downloaded the OS and the loader, made sure the 4k was on, double clicked on the OS opened up the os .bin file and it loaded the new os. Restart the MP and Voila...updated os!

I got the usb already hooked up cause I use aksys a lot, so ish was madd smooth!

Just install it via USB and the OS loader for Windows or Mac. Its the easiest and cheapest way.
You dont neeed to buy external storage media.
